    Duffy at Llandudno 30/05/08

Very disappointed with every aspect of the performance on Friday. Tickets stated 'supporting acts', none materialised. Fans were left standing listening to a cd compilation for over 2 hours. When Duffy did grace the booing crowd with her appearance there was no apology - very bad manners Heard that Duffy had become a Diva but didn't want to believe it. Duffy turned up looking like she had just been out shopping with her friends for the day, no effort in her choice of clothes. She was also clock watching and was only on stage for 1hr 15mins including encore! Will not be booking for tickets again.

I think you're a troll, and as for that  "no effort in her choice of clothes" well you must really be quite a pompous ass.  I'm sure Duffy will get by without your support ... Cheerio.

I`ve got to say that I agree with Kevin. I travelled up from Dorset to see Duffy at Llandudno and I was quite disappointed with the gig. There was no support act, not even a Northern Soul DJ like I had been led to believe was happening. Her set, although very good was short and a few more covers would of at least let us hear more of her fantastic voice.

Glastonbury was fantastic yesterday and it now gives her the recognition she deserves. I think that the Llandudno gig was one that she had booked in prior to her hitting the big time and it was probably below her elevated status.

No doubt I`ll get a slagging for this post but there were plenty at the venue who were unhappy with the whole performance so I am not alone and I am certainly no troll!

She is a fantastic talent and Syrup & Honey stands my hair on end but I`m afraid this gig was not her best Sad

For those of us who live local it was really nice to get so close to her, we were right at the front, It was well worth the wait and as I said she looked great and  sang fantastic, i can understand people saying it was a long wait but for whatever reason that was I still think for fourteen pounds it was well worth waiting, even with no support act after all what can you get for fourteen quid these days, the way its going you wont get a gallon of petrol for that soon. All in all she is fantastic.

Despite reading this, I'm in the process of booking tickets for one of her London shows..

It is true that she is apparently becoming a bit of a diva though!

Duffy a diva??  The girl strikes me as being the least stuck-up person on the planet.  For a start she can make fun of herself, a most undiva like thing to do.  I think Duffy's success has put a lot of people's noses out of joint, like 42 year-old Alison Goldfrap going on that Duffy had been to Brit school .... these pieces of misinformation just take on a life of their own - from the harmless - Shakin' Stevens is her dad - to the vindictive - she's a diva.

As for the wait for Duffy to come on - well that's happened to me with other bands who are playing without support.  The fault lies with the venue .... they're not going to advertize a 9pm start and have everyone piling in at the last minute and of course they want people in early patronising the bar.  Nothing to do with Duffy.
